Oh the things we do for science…

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

I had to get up at 3 am yesterday to go to the airport.  Since we were out for a pint to celebrate the end of the meeting the evening before, it meant that I didn’t get a whole lot of sleep that night.  I couldn’t sleep on the flight either, ’cause Ryan Air likes to make announcements over the speakers every five minutes.

Oh well, I slept when I got home — actually slept most of the afternoon and all night, so I must really have been tired — but now, because of all the sleeping, I haven’t prepared the lecture I am to give in a few hours, so I am desperately looking over my notes now.

Oy!

It’s good there’s only two days till the weekend.

Half way through the gorilla meeting

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

I’m sitting in the hotel having a cup of coffee.  We had a great meeting yesterday with presentations from the various groups, and today the agenda only holds one item: discussion.

I am sure there will be lots to discuss.  There already was yesterday.  So it looks like it will be another interesting day.
