Why did the upgrade eat my stats?
I just upgraded WordPress – mainly because of the recent security thread (although I usually keep it reasonably up to date it has been a few months since my last upgrade) – and upgraded the necessary plugins at the same time.
Upgrading the “stats” plugin, though, ate all my views statistics. Right now, this looks like the most unpopular blog ever:
Only one hit ever!
Does anyone know if there is any way I can get this back, or should I just try to get a lot more new hits to compensate?

I don’t know if you can bring it back, a guess would be to look in your database for these stats.
PS:
You should try to use Google Analytics, it’s a pretty powerful tool and I would guess it’s a lot more powerful than WordPress Stats.

I am not sure the stats are in my database. After all, I need to log into WordPress (proper) to access them…
I have been thinking about using Google Analytics, but haven’t gotten around to figuring out how yet :)

Ok, maybe that isn’t so difficult after all… I found a plugin for Google Analytics and installed that … Google still hasn’t detected it, but I will give it some time and check in on it tomorrow :)
