Sharing files between my Macs
Thursday, March 12th, 2009I have just received my Time Capsule, so I am in the process of backing up both my iMac and my Macbook. Since I have both turned on right now, I wanted to check that I could access the files from both on either machine, so I enabled File Sharing, but now I’m running into a weird problem.
When I connect to the Macbook from the iMac (using my user account rather than Guest), I can see my files there. No problems.
On the other hand, when I connect to the iMac from the Macbook, I can only see the two “drives” on that machine (a back up drive and a CD in the CD drive).
WTF?
I have set up the sharing exactly the same way on both machines, but clearly it only works in one direction… no idea why.
