Crap

First they tell us that alcohol hurts our publication record, and now it causes cancer?  Stop researching alcohol!

    It’s OK, the study was done in Finland, so you can blame the vodka, and keep drinking Carlsberg. Or if it is the beer, you can blame the poor quality of the stuff they make here.

    Bob: I actually prefer my beer a bit stronger than pilsner, så not Carlsberg. A nice imperial stout would be great, though. Molegro — a company with an office in the BiRC building — are brewing their own stout, and I look forward to tasting it :)

    To be honest, I doubt this study will bear up to closer scrutiny, I think what they basically showed, however, was the exposure to industrial chemicals is not as big an issue as alcohol, or more specifically alcohol and smoking.

    I had to say that, we were off camping last weekend and had just packed half a dozen bottles of Chianti and a stack of Grolsch for the gang! Would’ve been such a shame to waste it.
